Youth Work for Inclusive and Sustainable Development

Youth work

Working with young people is essential if we want to build a humane, just and sustainable world. Yet, youth work itself remains a poorly defined profession. The  unique skills and complex knowledge required to constructively engage with young  people are not yet established.

Based on Samvada's vast  experience of youth work over the last two decades, we have conceptualised this course  bringing together our  insights from successes as well as challenegs. This has been a labour of love and we have been pleasantly surprised by the interest  this course has evoked.

What is Youth Work?

Youth work has emerged as a special profession which addresses the complexities of youth hood and social change. It is a structured and systematic approach to supporting and guiding youth in their choices regarding education, work, family, friendships, lifestyles and political affiliations- so that individual and social wellbeing are integrated .
