Objective:

Socially responsible and environmentally friendly tourism is today recognised as the way forward in satisfying human desire to travel and explore new places. This course therefore aims at providing the tourism sector with trained personnel who can offer travel experiences based on understanding nature, appreciating ecological systems, learning about livelihoods and experiencing diverse cultures.

 

Who can apply?

Urban / rural youth from disadvanatged communities interested in understanding nature, tourism, ecological systems and diverse cultures.

Course Structure:

 

Curriculum for each batch is custom designed depending on the participants backgrounds and employment/self employment prospects. Preference is given to disadvantaged youth , especially young people from forest-based communities.

 

Trainees are also equipped with skills needed for customer relations, hospitality and different dimensions of adventure tourism.
