Student-led campaign against early and forced marriages

According to the most recent national survey commissioned by
India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (2005-2006),
58% of girls in India marry before reaching the legal age of 18;  
74% are married before reaching 20.

HOLD ON Against Early and Forced Marriage! was launched 
at the
Youth Resource Centres of Bangalore, Tumkur, Bantwala  and Hospet on February 8th, 2016

It will  conclude on  March 8th.

On  March 10th and 11th, 2016,
all campaigners and  youth leaders will celebrate 
YUVA MUNNADE 2016 Festival of Youth Rights.

Students in Bangalore, Hospet, Mangalore and Tumkur are taking oaths to initiate  dialogue on  the issue of early and forced marriages with their parents, teachers  and  the larger community.
